Tamaweb: how to play, where to play & similar games
Tamaweb is a virtual pet game made by the independent developer SamanDev. You start with an egg, hatch it, and then raise the pet that comes out: feed it, bathe it, take it to the toilet, play with it and keep it happy. The game is drawn as a small egg-shaped device with a pixel-art screen and three round buttons, much like the handheld pets it is inspired by.
Opens tamawebgame.github.io, run by SamanDev. KoiArcade is not affiliated with the developer and does not host this game.
What is Tamaweb?
It runs in the browser, and the developer also offers Windows and Android clients on itch.io and an installable iPhone web app (PWA). It is still being updated: the official site lists more than 30 updates since March 2024, with version 1.14.5 released on 3 September 2026.

What you do in Tamaweb
- Daily care: meals and snacks, baths and toilet trips keep your pet clean and content.
- Activities: mini-games, cooking meals with your camera, planting and looking after produce, visiting the underworld to find angel or devil friends, the Homeworld Getaway, and decorating rooms.
- Wants: your pet asks for specific food, playtime or visits; fulfilling them earns rewards.
- Evolution: the next life stage depends on how well you care for your pet (its care rating). The site counts more than 300 characters.
- Living world: day and night, seasons, rain and snow, and different room backgrounds.
- Hubchi: an online hub where you meet other players' pets, collect likes and go on dates.
- Collecting: accessories, a family tree, and characters and items to collect.
How to play Tamaweb
- Open the official site and press Play Now (or go straight to the browser version).
- Type a name for your egg and press SET.
- The egg appears in a bedroom. Until it hatches the game just asks you to wait for your egg to hatch, so leave it for a while.
- Once your pet has hatched, look after it every day: feed it, clean it, take it to the toilet and answer its wants.
- Good care raises the care rating, and that decides what your pet evolves into next. Play mini-games, cook, garden and visit Hubchi for extra rewards.

Tamaweb won't open or has no sound?
- The game won't open or stays blank
- Open the browser version directly in an up-to-date Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. Turn off ad or script blockers for the page and reload. If a school or work network blocks github.io, that is the network's rule, so play at home or use the Windows/Android client on itch.io.
- There's no sound
- Browsers only start audio after you click or tap the page, so press one of the buttons first. Check the tab isn't muted (right-click the tab), turn the system volume up, and on iPhone make sure the silent switch is off.
- My egg won't hatch
- That's normal at the start. The game shows "Wait for your egg to hatch"; give it time and come back.
- A gift code doesn't work
- Each gift can be claimed only once per account, and codes are entered in Settings > Input Code. See Tamaweb codes.

Is Tamaweb free?
Yes. The browser version opens without paying or signing up. The developer also has downloadable clients on itch.io.
Who made Tamaweb?
Tamaweb is made by SamanDev, an independent developer. It is inspired by handheld virtual pets but is not an official Tamagotchi product.
Can I play Tamaweb on my phone?
Yes. It works in mobile browsers; there's an Android client and on iPhone you can install it as a web app (PWA) from the official site.
Are there Tamaweb codes?
Yes. The official site lists gift codes you enter in Settings > Input Code. We keep the current ones on our Tamaweb codes page.
How many Tamaweb characters are there?
The official site says there are more than 300 characters. Which one your pet becomes depends on its care rating.
Can I play Tamaweb on KoiArcade?
