KoiArcade

How we pick and check games

Short version: KoiArcade is an independent site. Third-party games come from the licensed HTML5 catalogue of GameMonetize and are shown through its official embed. Before a game goes live we check it has real instructions and no famous-brand knock-off or gambling theme. Every game is then re-checked automatically (loads, files, thumbnail, no redirects), broken games are hidden and removed, and each game page shows the date it was last checked. KoiArcade shows no ads of its own right now.

Who runs KoiArcade

KoiArcade (koiarcade.com) is an independent website, launched in October 2026. It is not owned by a game publisher, distributor or ad network, and games can't pay to be listed or ranked. Contact: [email protected]. Rights holders can use the DMCA & removal process.

Where the games come from

  • 154 third-party games from GameMonetize, an HTML5 game distributor that licenses its catalogue for embedding on websites. The game files are served from the distributor's servers inside a frame on our page; we don't copy or modify them. The developer's name usually appears inside the game.
  • 1 KoiArcade Original: Impossible Tic Tac Toe, made and hosted by us.
  • Our trending guides cover games we don't host. We only link to their official sites; we never embed them without permission.

How a game gets listed

  1. New games are read from the distributor's public feed, a few at a time (at most a handful per day, never in bulk).
  2. A game is skipped if it has no real description or instructions, no thumbnail, or no secure (https) embed.
  3. A blocklist filters out knock-offs of famous brands, characters and celebrities, and games built around gambling, alcohol or real politicians.
  4. Remaining games are ranked by how complete their description and instructions are, with extra weight for mobile support, and only the best are added.
  5. Each listed game gets its own page with controls, how-to-play steps, device support, age guidance and an FAQ written from the game's own information. We don't publish empty or auto-spun pages.

What we check, and how broken games are removed

  • Automated check. A script requests every game's embed page and thumbnail. A game fails if the page doesn't return successfully, redirects to a site other than the distributor, contains no game code, or if the thumbnail is missing or not an image. It also looks at the game's own files and notes any third-party scripts. Last run: 2026-10-23, 154 games checked.
  • Real-browser test. On 2026-10-23 we also opened every game in a headless Chrome browser, waited for it to start and took a screenshot, recording load time, script errors, pop-up windows and any redirect away from the distributor. Games that showed a blank screen or failed to start were removed.
  • Hide, then remove. A game that fails is hidden from the site straight away. If it fails again on the next run it is removed from the catalogue and won't be re-added. 1 game(s) have been removed so far.
  • Last checked date. Every third-party game page shows when it last passed the check, in its Game info table.
  • Tell us. Every game page has a Report a problem link that emails us with the game name filled in. Reported games are re-tested, and removed if we can reproduce the problem. Wrong or misleading thumbnails count as a problem too.

What the check can't promise: games are run by their developers and the distributor, so a game can change or break between checks. If one does, please report it.

Mobile-friendly games

45 of 155 games are marked 📱 Mobile-friendly: their developer tagged them as supporting phones and touch screens, and they appear on our mobile games page. The rest are built for a keyboard or mouse; they still run on Chromebooks and laptops, and each game page says "Best on desktop".

Ads

  • Today: KoiArcade shows no ads of its own. The ad spaces on our pages are empty.
  • Inside third-party games: the distributor's game player may show a short video or banner ad before the game or between levels. That ad runs inside the game frame and is served by the distributor, not by us.
  • If we add our own ads: they will be labelled "Advertisement", sit beside or below the game (never on top of it), and we won't use pop-ups, pop-unders, auto-redirects or ads disguised as Play or Download buttons. Personalised ads will only be shown with consent where the law requires it. This page will be updated first.
  • Privacy controls: we have no accounts and set no ad or analytics cookies of our own. The data we keep on your device can be cleared from the privacy page.

Age guidance

KoiArcade is for a general audience. It isn't designed for young children and we don't knowingly collect data from children under 13 (there are no accounts or chat). The games are not officially rated (ESRB/PEGI), so each game page shows our own guidance, read from the game's description and tags:

  • All ages (72 games): puzzle, casual, racing, sports and dress-up games whose title, tags and description contain no fighting, weapons or horror themes.
  • Content note (68 games): the game mentions fighting, combat, shooting, zombies or spooky/horror themes. These are cartoon or arcade-style games, but parents of young children may want to try them first. Every shooting and action game gets this note.
  • No label (15 games): arcade and adventure games where we can't say for sure from the information available.

We never list gambling, real-money or alcohol-themed games. If you think a game is labelled wrongly, tell us.
