Dreamland Survivors: how to play, where to play & similar games

What you do in Dreamland Survivors
- Automatic weapons: you only move and dash; your weapons attack on their own. The opening tip says it plainly: just stay alive.
- Level-up builds: enemies drop experience gems; each level up offers upgrade cards to pick, so your build grows stronger every minute.
- Boss at 10:00: a boss arrives at the ten-minute mark. Defeat it and step through its portal to carry your whole build into the next land.
- Three lands: the Dreamland Plains, the icy Frostlands and the haunted Forgotten Crypt.
- Meta progression: every run earns Silver to unlock new heroes, weapons, items and permanent upgrades. There are chests to open and a map to check.
How to play Dreamland Survivors
- Open the browser version from GameDistribution and press Play Now (accept or manage the privacy notice first).
- Move with WASD or the arrow keys (or drag anywhere on a touch screen). Your weapons fire automatically.
- Walk over the gems enemies drop to gain XP. When you level up, pick one of the upgrade cards with the mouse, keys 1-3 or a tap.
- Dash with Space or Shift to slip through gaps in the horde, and open chests with E.
- Survive until the boss arrives at 10:00, defeat it and enter its portal with E to take your build into the next land. Spend the Silver you earn on unlocks between runs.

Dreamland Survivors won't open or has no sound?
- The game won't open or stays blank
- Use an up-to-date Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, turn off ad or script blockers for the page and reload. The game loads after the GameDistribution privacy notice and the Play Now button, so accept or manage the notice first.
- There's no sound
- Browsers only start audio after you click or tap the page. Check the tab isn't muted (right-click the tab), turn the system volume up, and on a phone make sure silent mode is off.
- The keys don't do anything
- Click inside the game once so it has keyboard focus, then try again.
- It looks squashed on my phone
